Eggplant with Forget Me Nots

A couple of weekends ago the girls and I flew over to Melbourne to create, with a group of other excited ladies in a workshop with Tim Holtz

Once coming back I was hoping that I would not got sick after-woods as some times you do once things in your life slow down for a little while. Unfortunately I was not so lucky, so this week the winter cold hit me well and true, hence have been feeling a little poorly.
Tonight I thought I would put up photos of some cards I made for Megs garden blog to show case the papers from the Forget Me Not Collection

The cardstock is a purple colour which looks great with these papers I have used eggplant colour ink with my stamps

Its that time again, and over at Magnolia Down Under we want to see some Shabby I have created this card to pop on the blog but I am thinking I might make another version of Shabby with any luck.
as I am on Holidays from study I am wanting to put some attention to bloging again fingers crossed.

Treasures

Sometimes I say I'm an old sole, because of my love for treasure's from the past.
I worry about the generations to come, will they appreciate what was before their time, and how did our technology get to where we are now.
So here is a little reminder of our Treasure's from the past,

This week's Challenge over at Magnolia Down Under this week is Bingo

 

I have chosen to use Die Cut, Cheese Cloth, and Tilda
just love this new Tilda stamp will be using her a lot I am sure 

the Dies I have used are Cherry Lyn Dies, and a Spellbinder die behind Tilda
off now to work on my assignment for mid year Semester which is due on Tuesday
I am looking forward to mid year break so I can chill out for a little while, maybe have some catch up with friends.

Challenge 149

Wow Sunday already and here we have another challenge over at Magnolia Down Under
We would like to see Double
Use 2 of the same thing, Image, Button, Ribbons etc
On my card I have used two Doo hickey  flowers on two peach paper flowers combined with two punched butterflies what I did notice is I forgot to put my bling in the flowers before I took my picture so imagine it has some bling in there.

having trouble this time of the year with natural light  even my favorite spot seems a little dark

My Quilt

I have been busy trying to get ahead my aim is to finish some projects that I have started, so far I have done very well and am feeling a little positive, as my quilt was started at least three years ago.
next on my list was to paint my bathroom yeah and that is finally done, my next job is to paint the rumpus room not sure when I will get to that soon I hope.
so here is some pics of my quilt don't look to close as I'm not what I call a Quilter but I'm fairly pleased with the end result the center was embroidered on my embroidery machine hours and hours of watching a needle go up and down.I spent a lot of years embroidering in some way until I found my paper craft, and designing.

I also have something else to share, last Friday night I went up to the study to cut from my doily die, on my big kick, which is basically is a big shot. We heard a big bang and I knew straight away I had done some damage to my machine.
 Saturday my husband and I pulled it apart and found that I had cracked the metal near the handle, so to keep me going until I get a replacement we Steampunked as we called it, the fact that it looked funny was what kept my spirits up.

the blue thing is a G clamp has done the job, I actually like the look of it without its casing.
