4 Cogs of Time

Hope this post finds you all well Today we get to  welcome back for the first time this year Theresa

Theresa has created a fantastic set of cards
showcasing The Cogs of Time Collection

Hi everyone and welcome to 2023

Today I have a lovely set of four cards using the New Cogs Of Time paper collection for you to be inspired by

To create these cards I have made my own card bases by cutting 2 matching pieces of cardstock

1 @ 6 “and the other at 6 ½”

You then score the 6 ½” piece @ ½” and fold

This piece is then stuck using tape and glue to the 6” piece creating a 6” square card

I have found some card stock to match the colours of the paper collection and have cut these in the following sizes to create the layers for the cards

5 ¾” and 5 ½”

The main image for each card front is cut at 5 “ and I have used the Time Tunnel paper

All the edges of my card stock are inked with Distress inks in Crackling Campfire, Peeled Paint, Antique Linen and Speckled Egg Do add the depth to my cards I have fussy cut another piece of the Time Tunnel paper so I can 3D mount these images over the others

this card has a DB Chipboard 378 Hashtags clear embossed

this card has 2 ribbons layered on each other then a strip of rhinestones

this card has another clear embossed DB 378 Hashtag chipboard piece

this card has ribbon with twine tied on it and an embossed DB 378 Hashtag chipboard title

All the cards have then been finished off with Nuvo Glitter Drops in Gold Coast colour and Glossy Accents

Have fun creating

Theresa Kamp

thanks for vising

Time After Time

 Good Morning

love the peace of the early morning which is fading away very quickly,  as the dew starts to dry and the heat from the sun shines through. lots to do first thing in the morning before the heat comes so I have a quick share before I head on outside, to my garden.

We have been creating and preparing for a visit to Bendigo in March for from Picture to Page. So today I am sharing just one of my Acrylic tags I have made we will have these in a kit to purchase for the weekend this is just a sample of what we will be bringing.

My tag and card, I have used my Cogs of Time paper collection this range suits scrapbookers and card makers and generally is a fun collection.

The acrylic tag has been engraved and the engraving has been painted black. Another alternative is to use a stencil with texture paste, always looks good so many ideas and techniques can be used on these tags I have also enjoyed using rice paper adhered to the tag, but that share is for another day.
we have teamed my project with a Finniber resin Mould painted silver.
My inspiration for my corset has come from mannequin decorated with lots of branches and foliage to simulate a dress, here I have used my  delicate branch chipboard.

Unfortunately my photos have not captured the depth of this tag need to be seen in person, if you have the time and ability to head to Bendigo come and say hi that would be fantastic.

Meanwhile I must head on outside and start my day lots of prep to be done.

Happy Sunday

thanks for visiting

Denise

Welcome Sonia Langosch

I am married and a mum to a miniature Dachshund Maxie who is the apple of my eye who loves to sit with me whist working on my next project.

Being  visually impaired has never stopped me from following my passions. I have worked in many different industries,  administration roles, as well as 5 years in a retail role for an Australian Fashion Designer. I am  also studying complimentary medicines, Including Reiki, Bowen Therapy and Kinesiology.

Colour and design have always played a big part in my life whether it be decorating my home, what I wear,  and my many crochet rugs made for family and friends or just simply colouring mandalas. I found my passion for card making 8 years ago when my sister took me to a card making class. Being visually impaired has its challenges however I knew after this first class that somehow, I could make this craft work for myself so my journey commenced. 8 years on I am still passionate and love designing my own projects and being part of a fantastic creative team.
